Concrete Batching Plant - memories of Roger Jarvis

The cement
works used to build the roads is still there, it's buried opposite the school
playing fields in Heath Hill Avenue. It's about 100 yards along from the bottom of
Norwich Drive.

Picture of the Concrete Batching Machinery taken on 9th October 1947. This was used during the road construction on the Bevendean Estate in 1947 and 1948.
