Bevendean History Project
The first two years of the project - continued

21. A scanner was used for documents & pictures lent by local people
Documents and pictures loaned by people were scanned so that they could
be used on the website. In due course a DVD will be made and the
information and material found by the Project will be deposited at the
local archives office. The website is also providing a digital archive
of the project.

22. Image Scanning of documents and pictures at the Keep
Documents can be scanned fairly rapidly using a flatbed scanner. This can produce images of up to 600 dots per inch which are then stored on THE KEEP’s computer systems.

23. The display boards were set out on a living room floor
The display boards were set out on the floor to enable the pictures to be mounted with an appropriate layout. This turned out to be a very time-consuming business taking half a day for each of the 8 boards.
