The end of Lower Bevendean Farm
After the end of World War 2 the farm land was taken for house building with the first houses built in 1947.
The farm buildings were demolished in the 1950s with the exception of one barn which was used as the first church for Bevendean. This opened in 1953 and closed in 1964 when the Holy Nativity Church opened in Norwich Drive.
This building was demolished in September 1970.
