1942 Allcorn sale
of Bevendean Farm

The Allcorn Family left Bevendean Farm in 1942.
The War Office wanted the Farm to become mechanised so as to increase the productivity. However the family were not prepared to change their way of working, where everything including milking the cows was done by hand. The Final Trading Accounts dated 29th September 1942, correspondence relating to the Sale the Farm Equipment and Livestock are shown here.
The Auction Catalogue for the sale of the Farm Equipment and Livestock dated 26th September 1942 is included here.
