Information from Ralph Deacon about Bevendean Farm

My 3x great grandfather Edward Deacon was originally from
Chiddingly, worked for a long period at Woodendean Farm in Rottingdean
Parish at what is now junction of The Vale and Ovingdean Road, but in
later life was an Ox Man at Bevendean Farm with his wife Elizabeth.
By coincidence my parents lived just a few hundred yards from Woodendean Farm, in South Woodingdean and we travelled frequently past the Bevendean valley via Falmer Road and wonderer about the existing farm location and its relevance to Edward.
I have details relating to my direct line to Edward plus all Edwards 9 children.
He died at Washington Street, Brighton in 1878.
