Flooding at Bevendean continued

Some of the deepest floods occurred in Bevendean in October 2000
when the roads at the junction of Taunton Road and Leybourne Parade,
Lower Bevendean were submerged to a depth of over a metre.

After the flooding in 2000, three enlarged dams were built to replace the five smaller ones. The estimated capacity of the new dams is 14,350 cubic metres below the pipe outlet.
