Plymouth Avenue Self-Build Commemorative Stone
On the 28 July 1951 the Brighton and Hove Herald reported the unvailing
of a plaque to the 20 men who had built their own houses in Plymouth
Avenue.
The stone surface is rather worn but the text on the stone appears to be as follows: -
The Brighton Ex-Servicemens Housing Society Limited
To commemorate
That the Twenty Houses Numbered 45 to 83
Were built by the Voluntary Labour of the undermentioned members
This stone was unveiled
